April has had a very rough life, but she is happy as she is. When she was an infant her parents were burned at the stake, convicted of witchcraft. She was left behind to the care of their only friend remaining, an old business woman named Baba. The woman rescued April only to find that April's parents had removed April's ears that marked her as an Elf so that April could hide from the prying eyes of those around her. For the kingdom of Ingmire is a cruel place. Growing up working in Baba's bar, April became a very strong and quick witted woman that doesn't accept any level of disrespect. When her and Joshua met she saw someone that was absolutely fascinating, for this man knew of things she could only dream of. As a woman who loves to learn, raised in a patriarchal medieval society, Joshua became both her fascination, and love.
