In the year 1348 in Paris, France, the story of The Plague Runners began. It was the birth of three immortal individuals, all of which were changed when they became infected with The Black Death. For many years since then, The Plague Runners have been an urban legend on Earth. They fought in many wars, using their abilities to aid the sick and dying while ending the tyranny of those that wished to do harm to the innocent. As the years passed, they became agents of The United States government in exchange for a quiet life where they remained what they wished to, legends. However, fate would lead them to be taken by The Cult of a Thousand Suns, and that is where they met Iva Flameheart. With Ace, a man with a deadly ability, Ash, a highly skilled fighter and Demon, and Jax, a doctor who was mutated into a reptilian humanoid, they now aid The Silence. The Silence became their family, and Dorenheim their home. For they have seen enough of humanity and the darkness within.
